What to have ready
Selling a lorry involves more paperwork than selling a car. We go through it with you on collection day.
- Logbook
- The V5C in the UK, or the Vehicle Registration Certificate in Ireland. If it's missing, tell us and we'll talk you through the options.
- Plating and test certificates
- Pass them on with the vehicle if you have them. A current test usually helps the price, but we still buy lorries that have failed or missed it.
- Tachograph data
- Download the vehicle unit data before the lorry leaves your control.
- Operator's licence
- Take the vehicle off your licence once it's sold.
- Outstanding finance
- Get a settlement figure from your lender in writing and mention it when you get in touch.

Do you really collect anywhere in the UK and Ireland?
Yes. England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, and collection is free.
Do you buy lorries that don't run or have failed their MOT?
Yes. Non-runners, accident-damaged lorries and vehicles with engine, gearbox, DPF or AdBlue faults all get a valuation, and so do lorries with a failed or expired annual test. Tell us what's wrong so the estimate is as close as possible.
What if there's still finance on my lorry?
Tell us when you get in touch and have a written settlement figure from your lender. The finance has to be cleared as part of the sale, because the lender owns the vehicle until it's paid off.
How do you work out what my lorry is worth?
Make, model, age, mileage, condition, body type and service history all count, along with what similar vehicles are selling for. The figure we give you is an estimate, and we confirm it when we see the lorry.
How do you pay?
By bank transfer, not cash, once the paperwork is complete.
Are you a broker?
No. We buy the lorry ourselves. There's no fee, no advert and no wait for a third-party buyer.
Can you buy more than one vehicle?
Yes. Send us the details of each vehicle and we'll value them together.
Do you buy horseboxes?
